Graduate Program

The Department of Philosophy is a dynamic and growing department and an exciting place to embark on or continue your graduate career.

The department’s areas of specialization are in epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, ethics, philosophy of language, philosophy of science, virtue theory, philosophy of art, pragmatism, and philosophy of logic.

We are dedicated to offering graduate students close personal attention and professional mentoring, along with rigorous philosophical training. About 25 students are currently enrolled in the program, a relatively small size that facilitates contact between the students and the faculty and ensures that graduate students are an integral part of department life.

The pages below describe the program and departmental life in detail, and provide information about how to apply.
